Ski-mate
Water skiers can either use two skies (one on each foot), or one ski (one foot in front and one in the back). When someone uses one ski, it is referred to as “slalom skiing”. Slalom skiing involves the use of bouys to form a course that you must ski around. After each successful pass through the course, the boat speed is increased and the rope is shortened; this is done until the skier fails to complete the course by falling or not making it around a bouy. Ideally, slalom skiing is done in calm, flat water, with minimal wind. However, as we cannot control the weather, this is not always the case. Weather conditions and wind strength/direction play a major role in the success of one's time on the water. So, skiers utilize a collection of weather apps, radars, and wind reports to gauge the conditions of their course. While this can be effective, it is time consuming and does not offer a way to visualize how certain weather may really affect your time skiing. Introducing Ski-mate. Ski-mate is the ultimate ski course management and visualization app for Android.
